Chinese train hits 700 kmph in just 2 seconds during test run, Watch
The speed of the China's maglev train was recorded during a test run using advanced rail technology.
New Delhi: China has recentedly created a world record with its fastest maglev train, reaching an incredible 700 km/h speed in just two seconds. The speed of the train during the test run was impossible to track with naked eye.
The test was carried on a 400-metre (1,310-foot) maglev track, and the train was brought safely to a halt after reaching that speed, making it the fastest superconducting electric maglev train ever.
The acceleration achieved during the trial was so powerful that it’s capable of even launching a rocket.
The maglev could connect cities over long distances in minutes at such speed.
The breakthrough offers a glimpse into future transport system like the hyper loop, where trains move through vacuum-sealed tubes at super high speeds.
The team behind the project has been working on the project for nearly a decade. Earlier this year, in January, they tested the train on the same track and reached a top speed of 648 km/h.
Nearly 30 years ago, the university involved had developed the country’s first manned single-bogie maglev train, making China the third country in the world to master the technology.
