Vivo/iQOO to launch OriginOS 6 in India for Android devices on October 15
Vivo will be launching the OriginOS6 based on Android 16 in India on October 15 and the global launch is taking place on the same day.
Vivo OriginOS 6 launch in India will take place on October 15 and the global launch will take place on the same day. The change is also applicable for Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO. For those who are unknown, Vivo and iQOO offered FunTouch OS for global markets.
It is reported that the OriginOS offers a smoother user experience for the users. Vivo claims that the OriginOS 6 offers ‘a refreshed design, deeper customization options, and enriched AI capabilities designed to make every interaction effortless.’
The company will be opening the OriginOS 6 Preview Program registration for Vivo/ iQOO smartphone users on September 29.
There are chances that the version of OriginOS 16 meant for global markets will be slightly different than the China variant. The first devices to receive the OriginOS6 will be Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro. Both the devices are scheduled to launch in China on October 13. It is expected that the devices will be launching in India by December 2025.
Speaking about iQOO, the launch of iQOO 15 (the successor to iQOO 13) will take place in October in China. It is expected to launch with OriginOS 16. When it comes to India, the launch of iQOO 15 will take place in November/ December of this year claimed a leak. The specifications of the variant that will launch in India are expected to be same as that of the China variant.
