Nubia Z80 Ultra launch to take place very soon, will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC

The Nubia Z80 Ultra will be the successor to the Nubia Z70 Ultra and will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC.

The Nubia Z80 Ultra smartphone will take place very soon in China. The company has recently confirmed (on Weibo) that the smartphone will be launching early October 2025. The device will be equipped with 1/1.55-inch camera sensor. When it comes to chipset, the smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

Specifications

The Nubia Z80 Ultra will be the successor to the Nubia Z70 Ultra that launched last year. The Nubia Z80 Ultra will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and the camera sample was shared by company.

The smartphone will offer a display with 144Hz refresh rate and touch sampling rate of 380Hz. There will be no notch in the screen of the smartphone and there will be an under-display front camera.

One of the highlights of the smartphone is the presence of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The flagship SoC by Qualcomm is built on a 3nm process and offers 3rd Gen Qualcomm Oryon CPU (which is fastest mobile CPU ever). The above mentioned CPU offers 20% more performance compared to its predecessor. Similarly, the CPU power efficiency has improved by 35%. Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 offers eight cores and the two prime cores offer maximum frequency of 4.6GHz. The other six performance cores are clocked at up to 3.62GHz.

The Nubia Z80 Ultra will offer visible updates on the over the Z70 Ultra. The Nubia Z70 Ultra is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with up to 24GB of RAM and 6150mAh battery. The fast charging support on the device is 80W. A 6.85-inch AMOLED display is offered on the device. When it comes to camera, the Nubia Z80 Ultra gets a 50MP primary sensor along with 64MP telephoto lens.
