MediaTek has announced its latest flagship chipset- Dimensity 9500 that offers up to 32 faster percent single core performance.
MediaTek has announced its latest flagship chipset- Dimensity 9500 and the company has claimed it to be better in every aspect if compared to the Dimensity 9400. The new chipset offers better standard when it comes to on-device AI, gaming, and power efficiency, claimed the company.
The Dimensity 9500 uses new gen Arm CPU cores and is octacore in nature. It comprises of one Arm C1-Ultra core at 4.21 GHz, three C1-Premium cores, and four C1-Pro cores. If compared to the Dimensity 9400, the Dimensity 9500 offers 32% higher single-core and 17% higher multi-core performance. In terms of multi-tasking the performance is up to 30% more. There is new 4-channel UFS 4.1 storage support on the Dimensity 9500.
The new Arm G1-Ultra GPU present in the Dimensity 9500 offers 33% higher peak performance and 42% better power efficiency. The Dimensity 9500 offers ninth-generation NPU 990 with Generative AI Engine 2.0 which is claimed to offer double computing power if compared to Dimensity 9400. The users can expect 4K image generation at just 56% of the peak performance. The Super-Efficient NPU features integrated compute-in-memory architecture that reduces power consumption and runs AI models continuously.
MediaTek Imagiq 1190 present in the Dimensity 9500 offers best in class 200MP camera capture with powerful AI denoise technology.
When it comes to 5G performance, the Dimensity 9500 offers 10% power savings with AI traffic prediction. The MediaTek AI Network Suite offers 50% latency reduction with AI congestion prediction. The Dimensity 9500 SoC will offer Wi-Fi 7 with AI along with better Bluetooth reception.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9500 will be competing with the likes of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The Dimensity 9500 is expected to power upcoming flagship devices like the Oppo Find X Pro as well as Vivo X300.
