Apple's first foldable smartphone- iPhone Fold is expected to capture more than 22% of the global foldable market share in 2026.
Apple is expected to launch its first foldable smartphone, rumoured to be as the iPhone Fold, next year. According to a new report market research firm IDC, the iPhone Fold will have a big impact on the foldable smartphone market.
The report by IDC has suggested that the upcoming foldable iPhone will capture more than 22% of the global foldable market share in 2026.
As per the report, the iPhone Fold is projected to grab 34% of the foldable market value. This is mostly based on the fact that the iPhone Fold is rumored to be priced around $2,400.
Moreover, the launch of the foldable iPhone is also expected to increase consumer interest in the foldable smartphone category. The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, and foldables from Huawei will also contribute in the growth of the foldable market.
Moreover, the report highlighted that the Foldable phones will continue to outperform the wider smartphone market in 2026 and are projected to make up over 10% of its total value by 2029.
The iPhone Fold is rumored to offer a 5.8-inch cover screen, a 7.58-inch inner flexible display, and a battery that’s larger than the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
