Does your iPhone show ‘Slow Charger’ during charging? Know how to deal with it

In case users do not use a fast charger, the iPhone will not show charging time and rather show ‘Slow Charger’ reported 9to5Mac.

When it comes to iPhone, Apple launched the latest series of iPhone in September 2025. Apple has also introduced the iOS 26 and according to multiple reports the estimated charging time till 80% is seen on the lock screen. In case users do not use a fast charger, the device will not show it and rather show ‘Slow Charger’ reported 9to5Mac.

In case you are one of those who get the above mentioned message on the screen, there is no need to freak out. This means that you are using an underpowered power brick/ older cable with a new device. Changing an old brick with a new one (30W or more) can be the solution. Similarly, if the cable is old you might have to change it.

When it comes to new iPhones, there are larger batteries if compared to the older gen (5 years or more old). In case you upgraded from an older generation of iPhone to a new one, you might want to switch to a modern fast charger. There is anyways a cable in the retail box (so you might not have to purchase a new one).

When an iPhone is offered with proper charging speed, it can charge from zero to 50% in just 30 minutes.
