Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 with ANC and heart rate monitoring feature launched in India

Beats, a subsidiary of Apple, launched ‘Powerbeats Pro 2’ its latest fitness-centric earbuds in India on Tuesday. Beats has priced the device at Rs 29,900. The sales of the Powerbeats Pro 2 will start February 13. It will be available in Black, Quick Sand, Hyper Purple, and Electric Orange colour options.

Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 features

The Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 comes equipped with latest health features and has better battery life. It packs Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), heart rate monitoring for workouts, and Transparency mode. It also supports wireless charging capabilities along and features a USB-C port for fast charging.

The heart rate monitor features offers real-time performance data during workouts. The device has LED optical sensors that pulse over 100 times per second to measure blood flow. It is compatible with fitness apps such as Runna, Nike Run Club, Open, Ladder, Slopes, and YaoYao in India.

The earbuds are compatible with Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, and Mac, as well as Android devices. Moreover, it supports Class 1 Bluetooth connectivity and Apple’s Find My feature, which makes it easy for locating misplaced Powerbeats Pro 2 earbuds.

Battery life

The Powerbeats Pro 2 offers up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge without ANC. It offers extra three full charges with the charging case. With this, the total playback time extends up to 45 hours. The earbuds is claimed to deliver up to 90 minutes of playback with a quick five-minute charge.

Unlike AirPods or most typical earbuds, the Powerbeats Pro 2 comes with a redesigned ear hook made of reinforced nickel-titanium alloy for enhanced grip and flexibility. This also makes them 20 per cent lighter than their predecessors. They are IPX4-rated, making them splash-resistant.
