Ahmedabad: Shubhman Gill has scored the 7th century of his ODI career today against England in 3rd ODI match at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Shubhman scored his century in just 95 balls in the 32nd over of the match.
England won the toss in the match and opted to bowl first. The host team lost the first wicket in the form of Rohit Sharma 1 (2) in the 2nd over. On the other hand, the second wicket in the innings was of Virat Kohli 52 (55). Kohli’s half century along with Gill’s century brought stability to the innings. Gill was bowled at 112 (102) and his innings came to an end.
Shreyas Iyer also contributed to the score with his fabulous half century in 43 balls. Till the article was written Iyer had scored 58* (51) and KL Rahul had scored 2* (3). India was 235/3 in 36 overs.
