BSSC recruitment 2025: Apply for 23,175 vacancies starting today
The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has invited application for recruitment for a total of 23,175 vacancies starting today.
The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has invited applications for Advertisement No. 02/2023 for a total of 23,175 vacancies starting today. The BSSC reopened the application process for the 2nd Inter Level Recruitment 2025.
Prior to this, the Bihar Staff Selection Commission had released the same notification for 12,199 vacancies. Now, the number of posts has been increased by 10,976, bringing the total to 23,175.
Candidates who have already applied previously do not need to submit a new application. Their earlier submission will be considered valid for all updated posts.

Total: 23,175 posts
Unreserved: 10,142 posts
Scheduled Castes (SC): 3,212 posts
Scheduled Tribes (ST): 219 posts
Extremely Backward Classes (EBC): 3,974 posts
Backward Classes (BC): 2,562 posts
Backward Classes women: 767 posts
Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 229 posts
A total of 7,394 posts will be reserved for women under the 35% horizontal reservation rule.
Eligibility criteria and selection process
The minimum educational qualification required is Intermediate (12th pass). For specific posts, computer typing skills are mandatory.
The selection process includes:
- Preliminary written examination
- Main examination
- Skill test (for relevant posts)
The preliminary exam will consist of 150 objective-type questions from General Studies, General Science, Mathematics, and Mental Ability. The exam duration is 2 hours and 15 minutes. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
Minimum qualifying marks for the prelims are:
- General: 40%
- BC: 36.5%
- MBC: 34%
- SC/ST: 32%
Five times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the main examination. Results will be declared using a normalisation method if the exam is held in multiple shifts.
