WATCH: Robot dog and drone engage in epic battle, internet reacts

A video showing an extreme robot dog fight and its clash with a drone, coupled with fireworks, has gripped the entire internet. Though not many have come forward with identification, it shows how both devices have engaged themselves in blows; yet the ownership and place from where it has been taken still remain a secret, making this an unknown phenomenon as it relates to warfare in the future.

The video starts with a drone hovering above a robot dog before the two erupt into a fiery clash. As the two continue to battle, social media users cannot help but think about what this advanced technology will mean for society. With robot dogs and drones increasingly showing up in various fields, their presence demonstrates quite significantly humanity’s excellent progress in robotics and AI.

However, these innovations raise wild questions about ethics and privacy among other related issues involving increasing dependency on technology. When machines advance, some have their fears on what would be the consequences of having autonomous machines that can do harm. This video of a battle between the robot dog and drone has sparked much debate, and people are even jokingly saying that “humanity is doomed” while others appreciate the technological developments that are put in the view.
