Sea turned bright read while the Island’s shoreline transformed into vivid crimson red. This is what a video has captured recently and so far gone viral after getting posted to X.

It was a scene yesterday in the Hormuz Island’s shoreline, known as Red Beach that turned into a vivid crimson tide while the sea turned bright red. And this is due to the rainwater washed iron-rich red soil into the ocean.

X user Nature Is Amazing took to Twitter a little ago yesterday and posted the video that has so far earned nearly 500k views.

He captioned the post as, “December 17, 2025, saw heavy rains transform parts of Hormuz Island’s shoreline, known as Red Beach, into a vivid crimson tide, with the sea turning bright red due to rainwater washing iron-rich red soil into the ocean.”

Hormuz Island’s red beaches get their color from iron oxide in the soil, creating these striking red waves – wrote a user in the comment box for the post.

Nature just dropped a filter on the ocean, another commented.

Nature’s alchemy at work … when rain meets iron-rich earth, the sea becomes a canvas of blood and rust. Hormuz Island reminds us that even storms can paint!, reads another comment for the post.
