Robot’s live dance to Dhurdandhar’s popular track FA9LA at IIT Bombay goes viral, watch

Humanoid robot stole the show by grooving to Fa9la developed by Bidyut Innovation at IIT Bombay during the techfest.

Mumbai: Phones went up, jaws dropped as the Robot started grooving to the Dhurandhar movie’s popular track FA9LA at IIT Bombay techfest 2025 recently.

As the beat of FA9LA dropped, the robot matched with the beat step by step, swaying, grooving and striking poses that mirrored human dancers, prompting cheers, laughter and phones shooting up across the crowd.

According to an Instagram post, the robot was developed by Bidyut Innovation.

The footage uploaded by ‘@iit__nit__iiit’ (Instagram user) soon went viral within hours and redefined what a tech festival performance could look like.

Instagram user ‘@iit__nit__iiit’  captions the footage as “At Techfest 2025 held at IIT Bombay, a humanoid robot stole the show by dancing live to the popular track Fa9la, charming visitors of all ages with its smooth moves and human‑like rhythm. Techfest, Asia’s largest science and technology festival, has long been known for pushing boundaries. Organisers noted that the performance was designed to demonstrate advances in humanoid robotics, particularly in balance control, motion planning and real-time responsiveness.

The video widely surfaced all around the internet and viewers are very much impressed by the robot’s expressive performance.
