The car reportedly stopped at the filling station and asked the staff to fill fuel worth Rs. 2,800. As soon as petrol worth Rs. 2,600 was filled, the driver suddenly sped away without paying a single rupee.

In the process, the vehicle hit the dispenser machine, uprooting it completely and causing damage estimated at around Rs. 9 lakh.

Further, the workers at the pump noted down the car’s number and informed the police. However, investigation revealed an unusual twist.

The car was carrying a fake number plate that actually belonged to a motorcycle. This has made it difficult for the police to trace the culprits, turning the case into a bigger challenge.

As of now, police have registered a case and started further investigation. Authorities say they are taking the matter seriously, especially as such frauds appear to be happening more frequently.
