Sitapur: A shocking incident has gone viral on social media where a school headmaster attacked a Basic Education Officer (BEO) with a belt inside his office at Sitapur of Uttar Pradesh. The incident took place on Tuesday evening and has been captured on CCTV.
The accused has been identified as Brijendra Verma, headmaster of Primary School Nadwa in Mahmoodabad block of Sitapur.
As reported, Verma, was harassing an assistant teacher from the same school. Akhilesh Pratap Singh, the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA), had summoned the headmaster to his office to discuss the issue.
Based on the complaint, both the headmaster and the teacher were called to the BEO office. During the hearing, people reportedly admitted that the headmaster was at fault. This triggered Verma, he immediately pulled out his belt and started assaulting the officer. The headmaster was overpowered and handed over to the police.

As per the CCTV, Verma, had a brief exchange with the officer, slammed a file on the table, removed his belt, and started beating the offficer.
Following the assault, BEO Singh lodged a formal complaint with the Kotiwali police and sought security for himself. The accused was immediately arrested and an FIR has been registered under relevant section.
