The viral video of Bengaluru's Nexus mall’s impressive concept of special parking spots for mothers earns praise on internet.
Bengaluru: A footage of the Bengaluru Nexus mall’s special initiative has surfaced on Instagram posted by user moniakshaylove12, where the mall has kept a separate parking space for mothers and especially for mothers-to-be.
The spot is colored pink, and signage makes the space easy to identify amid the often crowded and confusing basement parking areas common in large shopping complexes.
She recorded a short video and shared it on Instagram. That was it. No dramatic commentary, no long rant. And yet, the clip struck a chord.
User ‘moniakshaylove12’captioned it as, “Hats off to @nexusmalls in Bengaluru, where they have kept a separate space for Women, especially mothers-to-be. All other malls in India should implement the same”.
“As a pregnancy progresses, a mother’s center of gravity shifts, making it harder to balance and walk long distances. These spots are placed closer to the entrance to prevent physical strain and are usually wider so they can open the car door fully to get out comfortably. It’s just a small gesture to make a public space safer for both the mom and the baby!”, she added.
She also states in the video, “all the other malls in India should have such space to avoid hassle for all the MTB”.
The viral video has earned a lot of praise for the mall’s unique introduction for the pregnant woman on the internet.
