Woman dies of snake bite in Odisha’s Ganjam district
The police have registered a case of unnatural death and have sent the body to Berhampur FMT department for investigation and autopsy.
Berhampur: In a tragic incident, a woman was killed after being bitten by a poisonous snake in Ganjam district of Odisha on Satruday. The incident took place in the Sahaspur village under Sanakhemundi Block of the district.
The deceased woman has been identified as Kuntala Rawal.
As per reports, the woman was bitten by a snake while she was working in the paddy field.
Following the incident, she was immediately taken to Digpahandi hospital for treatment. However, by then she had succumbed to the snake bite. The doctors there declared her dead.
