Kujang: A white owl perched near Goddess Gajalakshmi. This rare and unusual sight was witnessed during the Gajalakshmi Puja celebrations in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district today.

After the worship of the Goddess, a white owl flew in and perched itself near the deity. The unusual visitor has drawn a huge crowd, with people gathering from surrounding areas to catch a glimpse of the owl.

The rare happening took place at the Maa Gajalaxmi puja pandal in the Harijan Sahi of Bhootamundai village under Kujang Block, where the Gajalakshmi Puja has been organized for the past 27 years.

This year, however, the worship was marked by the unexpected arrival of the white owl, which sat near the feet of the Goddess, where the owl, the Goddess’s vehicle, is typically depicted.

The owl was spotted late in the night and remarkably remained seated near the Goddess’s feet even into the morning. Devotees believe this to be a blessing from Maa Gajalakshmi, and many have flocked to the puja pandal to witness the rare scene.
