A group of miscreants allegedly stormed into the residence of former Dharamsala MLA Pranab Balbantray and launched brutal, life-threatening attacks on his supporters.
Jajpur: A group of miscreants allegedly stormed into the residence of former Dharamsala MLA Pranab Balbantray and launched brutal, life-threatening attacks on his supporters.
Balbantray’s social media team employees were reportedly having a meeting at a farmhouse in Panturi when a group of miscreants barged into it and launched a murderous attack on them.
Apart from attacking Balbantray’s supporters, the miscreants also vandalized furniture and some vehicles before fleeing from the spot.
The incident has shocked and surprised everyone in the locality.
Immediately, a team of cops reached the spot after getting information and rushed the four-five critically injured persons to the Dharamsala Hospital in the police van. Police started an investigation into the brazen assault, which is being linked to political rivalry in Dharamsala.
It is to be noted here that the Dharamsala area has remained tense for the past several months raising serious questions about what immediate steps the district police administration is taking to restore law and order.
