VHP calls 12-hour Cuttack bandh on Monday; seeks transfer of DCP, DM over immersion violence

On the 3rd October, there was a group clash during Durga Puja Bhasani. Stones had been pelted on the workers of Jhanjirimangala and Rausapatna Durga Puja Samiti on the Hatipokhari Road.

Six people including the DCP were injured in the clash, while the police have arrested six persons.

The police are strongly investigating if anyone else is involved in the case.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has called for a bandh in Cuttack tomorrow.
