Two teams each on alert at 10 fire stations in Bhubaneswar for Diwali emergency
The Fire & Emergency Services department has put two teams each on alert at 10 fire stations across Bhubaneswar City to address any Diwali emergency.
Bhubaneswar: The Fire & Emergency Services department has put two teams each on alert at 10 fire stations across Bhubaneswar City to address any Diwali emergency.
According to sources, the Fire & Emergency Services department also has set up three temporary camps as extra security arrangement. The three temporary fire stations have been set up near Kali Temple in Satyanagar, Kali Temple in Baramunda, and Lingaraj Temple.
Similarly, a total of 9 fire patrol units are patrolling across the city. Additionally, four teams are on alert at the Kalpana Fire Station. Besides, police are continuing their patrolling at the police station level with patrol units in all police stations of the city.
The Commissionerate police, which also has put teams in plain clothes on alert, has urged the people to
- Use green crackers or pollution-free crackers
- Light lamps by paying attention to the surrounding areas.
- Not to celebrate Diwali in a way that does not put others in danger.
- Pay attention to the safety and security of small children and the elderly and those with respiratory problems and heart attack.
- Follow the police regulations by not to burst fire crackers until late at night.
- Not to use crackers near government institutions, hospitals, courts and educational institutions.
- Not to create a situation that may cause danger to others.
- Call 112 immediately in case of any incident or problem.
