Two people were injured in a massive explosion at an illegal firecracker manufacturing unit in Bachhuripada village of Mayurbhanj
Baripada: Two people were injured in a massive explosion at an illegal firecracker manufacturing unit in Bachhuripada village, under Baisinga Police Station in Mayurbhanj district on Sunday.
The seriously injured has been identified as Anil Das, a resident of the same village.
According to sources, the explosion took place around 11 am while the victims(two brothers) were allegedly preparing illegal fireworks and explosives. The explosion was so massive that it blew off the entire house.
Both injured individuals were immediately shifted to the Balasore hospital.
The villagers of Bachhuripada quickly alerted the police following the incident. The Baisinga Police immediately reached the spot and secured the spot.
Further investigation is underway.
