Truck rams into 8 bikes, 2 vans injuring van driver in Odisha’s Koraput district, watch
The accident took place near the RTO office of Sunabeda on the NH 26
Sunabeda: A major accident occurred near the RTO office of Sunabeda on the National Highway no. 26 in Koraput district of Odisha on Friday when an Eicher truck rammed into multiple vehicles after suffering a brake failure.
As per the information received, the out-of-control truck hit two pickup vans and eight bikes, causing widespread damage. An electric pole was also broken in the crash.
After getting information Police personnel and Fire Department personnel rushed to the spot and tried to calm the locals who had taken to the road following the accident.
Though traffic has been interrupted on this road Police are working to normalize the situation. The driver of one of the vans was critically injured and has been admitted to Koraput hospital for treatment.
It has been learnt that the impact was so severe that the eight bikes were crushed to pieces. Authorities are managing the situation and assessing the damage.
