Titlagarh: Tension erupts at hospital over delayed handover of child’s body, watch

Titlagarh: Tension gripped the Mother and Child Hospital in Titilagarh in Balangir district of Odisha, on Saturday as a child’s body wasn’t handed over to the family even after 17 hours of death. As of reporting, the body hadn’t been released.

As per the information received, a man from Deheli village under Muribahal Police Station limits had rushed his 2-year-old ailing son to the said hospital Friday evening for treatment.

Unfortunately, the child died an hour later while under treatment. However, even after 17 hours of the death of the child, the body has not been handed over to the family yet.

The delayed handover sparked unrest among family members and others at the hospital premises, demanding answers.

Police reached the spot and are investigating the matter. The situation remains tense.
