Tight security, including CCTV surveillance, in place for Durga puja in Cuttack, check details
In Cuttack, a total of 160 Puja Pandals are being organized this year
Cuttack: In view of the Sharadiya Durga Puja-2025, the Cuttack UPD has made massive police arrangements under CCTV surveillance to ensure smooth conduct of the festival and the safety of the general public.
In Cuttack, a total of 160 Puja Pandals are being organized, which has been categorized as Category “A” – 68, Category “B” – 37 and Category “C” – 55 for better supervision and to avoid disputes among Puja Committees.
In addition to that plain-clothes police personnel have been deployed and CCTV in all pandals have been installed to prevent crimes such as snatching, theft, and other anti-social activities.
The following deployment has been made for effective law and order management in Cuttack UPD.

Necessary arrangements have also been made with Fire Services teams for fire safety measures. A medical unit with first-aid facilities will remain present, in case of any emergency. Separate arrangements have been made near the place of musical programs.
The Commissionerate Police appeals to the public to cooperate with the police and celebrate the festival in a safe and peaceful manner.
