Gop: To enhance visitor experience and hassle free entry, temporary barricades have been erected at the world-famous Konark Sun Temple ahead of the New Year and Christmas celebrations.
Keeping in mind the heavy rush of tourists ahead of the New Year, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has taken this step to ensure safety, discipline, and convenience for visitors. With Christmas being celebrated tomorrow, a large number of tourists are expected to visit the heritage.
The barricades will allow tourists to move in an orderly manner. This arrangement will help visitors enjoy a clear and uninterrupted view of the intricate stone carvings and exquisite architecture of the world famous Sun Temple. The initiative also aims to prevent overcrowding.
Importantly, the new system will also curb ticket black-marketing on both offline and online mode. Visitors can now enjoy a safe, comfortable, and well-managed visit to the iconic monument.
