Odisha Crime Branch, which has intensified its probe into the police sub-inspector (SI) recruitment scam, has reportedly issued lookout circular against the absconding accused persons.

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Crime Branch, which has intensified its probe into the police sub-inspector (SI) recruitment scam, has reportedly issued lookout circular against the absconding accused persons.

Apart from issuing the lookout circular against the absconding accused persons, police also froze the bank accounts of 10 accused persons including key conspirators Sankar Prusty and Muna Mohanty, informed sources.

The special teams of the Crime Branch continue their raids and investigation in Jharkhand and Bihar, added the sources.

It is to be noted here that Odisha police had arrested 114 aspirants while they were being taken to Vishakhapatnam by three buses to get training on how to write the answers of the allegedly leaked question papers in the upcoming Combined Police Service Examination (CPSE) 2024. Each of the aspirants was allegedly asked to pay Rs 25 lakh to avail the leaked question papers.
