Police rescues 55 labourers from being transported outside Odisha
The Kantabanji police in Balangir district rescued 55 labourers of which 25 are men, 16 are women and 14 children are present.
Kantabanji: In a major achievement, the police busted a smuggling racket. Police rescued as many as 55 daily wage labourers while being illegally transported.
They were being transported to out of Odisha. Acting on a tip off, the Kantabanji police busted the racket.
According to information, the 55 labourers rescued belonged to Nuapada and Balangir district. There were both male and females. Even children were not spared by the racket.
As many as 25 men and 16 women have been rescued. Similarly, 14 children have also been rescued.
