Cuttack: Police have intensified its probe into noted Odia playback singer Humane Sagar’s untimely death case and has sought information about his treatment and financial transactions, informed Cuttack DCP Khilari Rishikesh Dnyandeo today.
While speaking to the newsmen, the Cuttack DCP said that an investigation into the matter has been initiated based on the complaint lodged by Humane Sagar’s mother Shefali Suna at Markat Nagar Police Station on December 21.
The DCP also informed that the investigating police team has obtained some medical documents of Humane Sagar’s treatment. Further it has sought more details regarding his treatment and the medicines he was prescribed.
Dnyandeo also informed that police will seek clarification from the doctors under what circumstances Humane Sagar’s post-mortem was not conducted and whether it was necessary.
As a thorough investigation is being conducted, police are continuing to check the financial transaction details of the deceased singer, the DCP said adding that the Commissionerate Police has sent requisitions to various banks and sought information about his financial transactions.
Most importantly, all the accused persons named in Shefali Suna’s FIR will be called for questioning, the Cuttack DCP clarified.
