PM Modi to visit Jharsuguda for 95 minutes on September 27, preparations in full swing

PM Modi is slated to visit Jharsuguda of Odisha on September 27. He will spend around 95 minutes and address a gathering.

Jharsuguda: The preparations for the Odisha visit of PM Narendra Modi on September 27 are in full swing. A preparatory meeting was held at the Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday, under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja.

Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja and the Prinicipal Secretary of Works Department had conducted an on-site visit in Jharsuguda yesterday. Later in the day, a preparatory meeting was held in the presence of the senior officials of several departments.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to visit Odisha’s Jharsuguda on September 27 at around 11.10 am via a special flight at the VSS airport. From there will he will reach the Amlipali venue at 11.25 am via road and will attend the programme.

He will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several developmental projects for the people of Odisha. Arrangements have been made to accommodate around 60,000 people.

The PM is scheduled to leave for New Delhi at 12.45 pm thus spending 95 minutes in Odisha.

The agenda of the meeting held at Lok Seva Bhavan yesterday primarily revolved around PM Modi’s Odisha visit. The preparations at Jharsuguda Aerodrome, guest house, podium, carcade route, electricity and drinking water facility for the event. Similarly, the entry pass for the programme was also discussed.

In the said meeting Developmental Commissioner Anu Garg, Home Department Additional Chief Secretary Satyabrata Sahu, Information & Public Relations Department, Additional Chief Secretary Hemant Sharma; Police DGP Yogesh Bahadur Khurania and several other officials were present.

It is worth mentioning here that, PM Modi was originally scheduled to visit Berhampur but it was shifted to Jharsuguda due to bad weather.
