PM Modi speaks in Odia and addresses people of Jharsuguda: WATCH

Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaks in Odia while addressing the rally in Jharsuguda of Odisha, the crowd gives him an arousing welcome

Jharsuguda: Gaining a much arousing welcome by the crowd, PM Modi reached the dais and started with, “Jai Jagannath, Jai Maa Samalei and Jai Maa Ramachandi.”

The people present in the rally were delighted with the address and started to clap and chant, “Modi! Modi Modi”. The PM then went on to thank the people for their support.

The PM then thanked the youth and the people for the beautiful works of art and the memorabilia. He said that his SPGs will collect each one of them individually.

PM Modi urged those presenting him to write their names and addresses on the backside of the portraits and works of art. He further promised that he shall write letters to them individually.

He also asked his men to collect a portrait of him from a kid standing in the crowd. The PM then yet again used Odia and said, “ଏଠାରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିବା ସମସ୍ତ ମାନ୍ୟଗଣ୍ୟ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିମାନଙ୍କୁ ମୋର ଜୁହାର୍” (aethi upasthita samata manya ganya vyakti manaku mora juhar) which roughly translates into ‘my salutations to all the respected and esteemed people here’

The PM further added that during the celebration of navratri he is blessed to have an opportunity to be in the holy land of Maa Samalei and Maa Ramachandi. He then thanked the women for reaching and participating in such huge numbers in the rally.

He further thanked the people of Odisha for encouraging the ‘double engine government’ and voting for BJP and believing in the concept of ‘Vikasit Odisha’ PM praised Odisha CM Mohan Majhi and called him a “popular and karmatha (hardworking)” CM.
