Rourkela: Some unidentified miscreants set a passenger bus on fire near Swapneswar Mandir under the Tangarpali police station limits in Rourkela late Thursday night.

As per reports, the miscreants pour flammable substances on the parked bus named ‘Anjali’ and set it on fire before fleeing the scene. The luxurious bus worth over Rs 2 crore was severely damaged in the intense blaze.

On being informed, Rourkela Fire Services rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control. However, by the time the fire was doused, the bus had been completely gutted.

Tangarpali police launched an investigation soon after receiving information about the incident.

Till now, no arrests had been made in connection with the case.
