Paradip: Boat capsizes in Kaudia River, fishermen missing, watch

Jagatsinghpur: In a sad news a fisherman went missing in the Kaudia River in Paradeep area of Jagatsinghpur district in Odisha on Friday following a boat capsize. The boat capsized when two fishermen were fishing in the Kaudia River near the Baliplot in Atharabanki area of Paradip.
The missing fisherman has been identified as Prafulla Behera of Jadupur village.
As per the information received, a few local fishermen were fishing with the help of their small boats when the tide receded from the river today.
There were two fishermen in the boat that suddenly lost its balance and capsized. As a result, two fishermen fell into the river. While one fisherman managed to swim ashore, Prafulla Behera is still missing.
After getting information about this Kujang Fire Services Department, ODRAF team and Marine Police reached the spot and initiated a search operation.
