Odisha Vigilance have launched raids at six locations linked to Jitendra Kumar Jena, PEO, Bancho Gram Panchayat in Keonjhar district
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance have launched raids at six locations linked to Jitendra Kumar Jena, PEO, Bancho Gram Panchayat under Hatadihi Block in Keonjhar district, on allegations of possessing disproportionate assets (DA) to his known sources of income.
The searches are being conducted at various locations in Keonjhar district, including a triple-storeyed residential building at Biranchipur in the Mareigaon area under Hatadihi block market comple, a newly constructed double-storeyed market complex at Jagannathpur mouza near Basantia Bazar, two rented godowns of Maa Saraswati Sales at Basantia Bazar under Hatadihi an electronics shop at Bidyadharpur, his paternal house at village Padhiaripalli under Hatadihi block , and his office of Bancho Gram Panchayat under Hatadihi block.
The search operation is being carried out based on search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
A Vigilance team led by four Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), assisted by eight Inspectors and other supporting staff, has been deployed to carry out the operation.
The search is currently in progress, and further reports are expected to follow.
