Vigilance arrested Jitendra Jena, a Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) in Keonjhar’s Hatadihi block, for possessing disproportionate assets
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday arrested Jitendra Kumar Jena, a Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) in Keonjhar’s Hatadihi block, for possessing disproportionate assets.
According to the vigilance report, Jena was found to be in possession of a triple-storey building, a double-storey market complex worth over Rs 1.34 crore, six plots, approximately 100 grams of gold, Rs 34.06 lakh in deposits, and a four-wheeler, among other assets. He failed to provide satisfactory explanations for these assets.
A case (No. 20/2025) has been registered against Jena at the Balasore Vigilance PS, and the investigation is ongoing.
He will be forwarded to the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance in Keonjhar.
