Sambalpur: Fanindra Kumar Sahu, the former Managing Director of Jamankira Large-sized Agricultural Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society (LAMPCS) Ltd., Sambalpur was arrested today by Odisha Vigilance.

The arrest follows an investigation into the financial discrepancies of the 2021-22 fiscal year, where a total of Rs 79,28,000 (approx.) was allegedly misappropriated by Sahu.

Sahu allegedly collected loan repayment amounts directly from local farmers but intentionally omitted these entries from the Day Book (the primary accounting record). To hide the missing funds, he reportedly submitted false repayment vouchers to the SDCC Bank (Sambalpur District Cooperative Central Bank), Jamankira Branch.
