Odisha Vigilance arrests ex-principal of Chitalo Degree Mohavidyalaya
Odisha Vigilance today arrested the ex-principal of Chitalo Degree Mohavidyalaya in Jajpur for reportedly misusing government funds meant for self-defence programme of girl students of the institution.
Jajpur: Odisha Vigilance today arrested the ex-principal of Chitalo Degree Mohavidyalaya in Jajpur for reportedly misusing government funds meant for self-defence programme of girl students of the institution.
According to the Vigilance sleuths, Adwaita Prasad Mallick, the ex-Principal who is at present posted as Lecturer in Odia and Badri Narayan Ray, the ex-president both of Chitalo Degree Mohavidyalaya, were arrested for misappropriation of Government funds over Rs 32,07,620 meant for self-defence programme of girls of the said college.
In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance PS Case No.40 dt.31.12.2025 U/s- 13 (2) r/w 13 (1)(a) PC Act,2018/409/120(B) IPC was registered against them.
Both the accused persons namely Adwaita Prasad Mallick and Badri Narayan Ray were forwarded to the Court following their arrest.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
