With the beginning of the holy month of Kartik, the prices of vegetables have started to skyrocket doubling the consumers’ worries across Odisha.

Cuttack: With the beginning of the holy month of Kartik, the prices of vegetables have started to skyrocket doubling the consumers’ worries across Odisha.

According to reports, the vegetable prices at the Cuttack-based Chhatra Bazar Urban Haat have increased between Rs 50 and Rs 100 per kg. As the consumers are abstaining from non-veg during the entire month of Kartik, they are forced to buy green vegetables to meet their daily needs.

However, as the skyrocketing vegetable prices affect their daily expenses, the common people across the state preferred to buy half a kilo of any vegetable or even less than the quantity they used to purchase.
