Odisha to host FIVB Beach Pro Tour for three Consecutive years; FIVB, KIIT-KISS Excellence Center inaugurated

Fabio announced that FIVB Beach Volleyball will be organized in Odisha in collaboration with KIIT and KISS in the coming years 2026, 2027 and 2028 for the extensive facilities in KIIT and KISS and the pleasant atmosphere of Odisha.
The FIVB Volleyball Festival Week 2025, which started from December 11 in KIIT and KISS in collaboration with FIVB, has been successfully held. Fabio, who came to Odisha to attend the event, said that this mega event is being organized for the development of volleyball at the grassroots level and women empowerment in India and Odisha.
He said that FIVB aims to connect 1.2 billion people of the world through volleyball by 2032. FIVB aims to bring people together and maintain harmony among them through the power of sports, especially volleyball.
At the press conference, KIIT & KIIS founder Achyuta Samanta said that due to our partnership with FIVB, world-class talent has been brought to Odisha through such workshops. This will create an opportunity for thousands of girls and women to experience the transformative power of volleyball.
Samanta further said that the aim of FIVB Volleyball Festival Week 2025 is to promote women empowerment and development of volleyball at the grassroots level as part of Kanya Kiran initiative of KIIT and KISS.
On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between KIIT, KISS and FIVB and the FIVB-KISS Excellence Center was inaugurated by Fabio. Along with this, a sports zone was inaugurated by Fabio in the presence of Samanta.
It is worth noting that the official inauguration of the mega volleyball event was held on Saturday in the presence of 40 thousand students in a colorful atmosphere.
As part of the Kanya Kiran initiative of KIIT and KISS on different days of the Volleyball Mahakumbh, a workshop was also organized for women volleyball coaches from Odisha and other parts of the world. In this program organized to train and empower women volleyball coaches through workshops, more than 200 volleyball coaches, players and experts from India and the world participated, apart from 500 participants from Odisha. They will train volleyball players in their respective regions which is expected to benefit over 50,000 volleyball players.
The training programme featured dynamic on-court training, advanced skill sessions, coach-development workshops and mass participation programmes on four indoor and over 40 outdoor courts.
Various special sessions were held on the occasion. These included discussions on the role of volleyball in education, social change and youth welfare, grassroots change through volleyball and the importance of women empowerment, equality and global empowerment through volleyball.
