Odisha State Energy Conservation Award 2025: KIIT gets Achiever Award

Bhubaneswar: The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University has got the Achiever Award under the Educational Institute – Odisha category at the Odisha State Energy Conservation Award 2025.

The Achiever Award was conferred on KIIT on the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day (14 December 2025) at Lokseva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar today.

This recognition acknowledges KIIT’s comprehensive efforts towards energy conservation, including regular energy audits, campus-wide awareness initiatives, and the integration of energy and sustainability-focused courses into our academic curricula.

KIIT have implemented multiple energy-saving measures across the campus, such as LED lighting, solar and biomass power generation, smart systems, and sensor-based technologies.

These initiatives led to 38.68% electricity savings in 2024–25, with a 17.67% reduction in specific energy consumption, highlighting KIIT’s strong commitment to sustainable practices and environmental responsibility.

Meanwhile, KIIT and KISS founder Achyuta Samanta congratulated the KIIT staff for the achievement.
