Odisha Police visits Visakhapatnam to probe missing of IMFA security guard

Odisha Police has reportedly left for Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh to trace Jitendriya Sahu, the missing security guard of Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys (IMFA) Limited.

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police has reportedly left for Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh to trace Jitendriya Sahu, the missing security guard of Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys (IMFA) Limited.

Sahu, a security guard from Deogarh district, was employed by at IMFA in Choudwar was escorting a shipment of three chromite-laden trucks from Choudwar to Visakhapatnam, departing on December 13.

He arrived at Visakhapatnam Port on December 15 and spoke with his family. He was last spotted at the railway station before his phone was switched off.

A missing person case has been registered at the Choudwar Police Station (Case No. 86/2025).

A dedicated police team has been dispatched to Visakhapatnam to review CCTV footage and question the truck drivers to determine how and where he disappeared.

ACP Arun Kumar Swain spoke about this missing employee case. A police team will visit the office of IMFA and question the employees including the drivers of the trucks, Sahu had escorted, to get some lead in the case.

However, response from IMFA in this regard is awaited.
