Odisha Police SI Recruitment Scam: Syndicate was operating!
A special team has been formed by the police to arrest the main conspirators in this case and the investigation is ongoing.
Bhubaneswar: A massive scam involving Odisha Police SI recruitment has led to significant arrests and intense investigation. It has been learnt that a syndicate was operating behind the recruitment process that was dealing with original certificates and transacting money through bank cheques.
Meanwhile the Crime Branch arrested key members, including Bishwa Ranjan Behera, and several brokers, bringing the total number of arrests to 118.
It is worth mentioning that the accused Bishwaranjan was acting as a middleman in this incident. As per the instructions of the head of this syndicate, Bishwaranjan played an active role. He used to communicate with the aspiring candidates regularly and provide them with question papers. In return, he collected their original educational certificates and blank cheques from the aspiring candidates. Later, he used to hand over these documents to another member of the syndicate.

Meanwhile today the Chief Secretary conducted a high level meeting in this regard. OPRB Chairman Sushant Nath along with the DG of Police, Home Secretary were present in the meeting. In the meeting it has been discussed about how did such a big scam happened. Who is the mastermind? Are OPRB officials involved in the scam?
The investigation, led by DSP Ratnaprabha Satpathy is ongoing. The Odisha Police Recruitment Board (OPRB) has informed the Crime Branch in writing and is awaiting the investigation report to take further action.
