Odisha Police SI Recruitment Scam: Panchsoft office sealed, documents being verified
Panchsoft head, Shankar Prusti, is currently absconding, and the Crime Branch is actively searching for him.
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Crime Branch has taken decisive action in the Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment fraud case of Odisha. In the latest move, the Panchsoft office in Infocity area has been sealed while the documents are being verified.
According to sources, the Panchsoft head, Shankar Prusti, is currently absconding, and the Crime Branch is actively searching for him.
Meanwhile, Suresh Nayak, CEO of Silicon, was interrogated at the Crime Branch headquarters regarding his role in the scandal.
The investigation revealed that the Odisha Police Recruitment Board (OPRB) had outsourced the preparation of question papers for the SI recruitment exam to Silicon Private Limited. Silicon, in turn, subcontracted the task to Panchsoft, led by Shankar Prusti. This outsourcing arrangement has raised questions about the integrity of the recruitment process.
Muna Mohanty, another key figure in the case, is also on the run. The Crime Branch is working to apprehend both Prusti and Mohanty, who are believed to have played significant roles in the alleged fraud.
