Odisha: Kidnapped businessman rescued within 18 hours, 4 abductors arrested
Balugaon Police in Khurda district of Odisha on Sunday successfully rescued an established businessman within 18 hours after he was kidnapped by some unknown persons.
Khurda: Balugaon Police in Khurda district of Odisha on Sunday successfully rescued an established businessman within 18 hours after he was kidnapped by some unknown persons.
The established businessman identified as Sushil Kumar Subudhi was kidnapped late last night by four miscreants in a car from Patana Sahi while he was returning home in a scooty after closing his business establishment at Balugaon.
The kidnapper also had taken away the two-wheeler of Subudhi, who was reportedly carrying over Rs 20 lakh along with him. The matter came to light only after his family members, who were in a state of fear and anxious, filed a complaint over his abduction.
Based on the complaint, Balugaon Police launched an investigation into the matter. A special team was formed to trace and rescue Subudhi and arrest the accused persons.
In course of probe, police found the presence of Sushil in Chandapur area of Cuttack district today and rescued him within 18 hours after his abduction.
The police team also arrested all the abductors and seized the car they used to kidnap the businessman. However, it is yet to be known the exact reason behind the kidnapping of the businessman.
