Odisha government today relieved a total of three senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers from their present posting to go on central deputation.
Bhubaneswar: Odisha government today relieved a total of three senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers from their present posting to go on central deputation.
The senior IAS officers who have been relieved by the state government are Shalini Pandit, Samarth Verma and Swadha Dev Singh, informed the General Administration & Public Grievance (GA&PG) Department in a notification.
“No. PT1-GAD-SER1-ESTT4001-2016-34344/A15.l, In pursuance of Letter No. 33/09/2025-EO (SM-l) dated 13.09.2025 of Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India, Shalini Pandit, IAS (OD:2001), Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, School & Mass Education Department with additional charge of Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, Department of Mission Shakti is relieved from the State Government w.e.f. 13.10.2025 to enable her to join the new assignment in Government of India as Joint Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance for a tenure of five years from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier,” read the notification.
“No.34345/AlS.I, In pursuance of Letter No. No.1/4/2025-EO(MM-I) dated 29.09.2025 of Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India, Samarth Verma, IAS (OD:2011), Director, Minor Minerals with additional charge of Managing Director, Odisha Film Development Corporation is relieved from the State Government w.e.f. 13.10.2025 to enable him to take up his new assignment in Government of India as Director in the M/o Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Delhi under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier,” it added.
The notification further said, “No.34346/AIS.I, In pursuance of letter No. No.6/39/2025-EO(MM-I) dated 26.09.2025 of Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India, Swadha Dev Singh, IAS (OD:2014), Managing Director, Odisha Lift Irrigation Corporation Ltd. with additional charge of Additional Secretary to Government, Water Resources Department is relieved from the State Government w.e.f. 13.10.2025 to enable her to join the new assignment in Government of India as Director of Census Operation (DCO)/Director of Citizen Registration (DCR) (Deputy Secretary level) in the office of the Registrar General of India (RGl) (Headquarters), New Delhi with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post for a period up to 31.12.2025 which is further extendable up to admissible tenure under the Central Staffing Scheme or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.”
