Odisha govt announces five new Municipalities and 24 NACs
Odisha government has reportedly announced the creation of five more municipalities and 24 notified area councils (NACs) in different districts of the State.
Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has reportedly announced the creation of five more municipalities and 24 notified area councils (NACs) in different districts of the State.
The State government’s aim is to improve civic amenities and strengthen urban local bodies (ULBs). The five municipalities have been created in three different districts of the States namely Boudh, Ganjam and Mayurbhanj.
Likewise, the new 24 NACs have been formed in 14 districts of Odisha. Check the complete list of new Municipalities and NACs:
New Municipalities:
- Boudh district: Boudhgarh
- Ganjam district: Bhanjanagar, Kabisuryanagar and Polasara
- Mayurbhanj district: Karanjia
New NACs:
- Angul district: Pallahara
- Balasore district: Simulia
- Baragarh district: Sohela
- Bhadhrak district: Tihidi and Dhusuri
- Cuttack district: Salipur, Badamba and Narsinghpur
- Dhenkanal district: Gondia
- Ganjam district: Jagannathprasad and Patrapur
- Kalahandi district: Narla and Jayapatna
- Khurda district: Tangi
- Koraput district: Borigumma
- Mayurbhanj district: Betnoti, Bangriposi, Chitrada, Kaptipada and Rasgobindpur
- Rayagada district: Bissamcuttack
- Sambalpur district: Bamra and Rengali
- Subarnapur district: Subarnapur and Birmaharajpur
