Odisha Government announces state-of-the-art Disaster Management Building at Rs 200 crore
Revenue and Disaster management Minister Suresh Pujari informed that the building will have offices of SRC, Fire dept and MeT dept.
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced to build a state-of-the-art Disaster Management building in Bhubaneswar for disaster preparedness.
It will be built at a cost Rs 200 crore. Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari has informed about this.
The Minister said, we have to be prepared in advance to deal with natural disasters. If a disaster occurs, institutions will be affected. Preparations are underway to open a modern disaster management office in Bhubaneswar.
It will be built near the Lok Seva Bhavan. The offices of the Special Relief Comissioner, Fire Service Department, Meteorological Department, all other institutions working during disasters will be under one roof.
All these departments will work in cooperation with each other. Modern disaster management equipment will be brought in with the help of the Center.
Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari has informed about this. For this, land has been identified in the capital and work has started.
