Odisha enhances rate of daily diet of indoor patients of all Govt Health Institutions
The Odisha government has enhanced the rate of daily diet of indoor patients of all Government Health Institutions, informed the Health & Family Welfare Department today.
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has enhanced the rate of daily diet of indoor patients of all Government Health Institutions, informed the Health & Family Welfare Department today.
In a notification the department said, “The State Government provides diet, free of cost to the indoor patients during their period of treatment in Government Hospitals. Indoor patients are being provided diet as per the rates prescribed in the Health & Family Welfare Department Resolution No. 18461/H dated 03.08.2023.”
It further said that keeping in view the present market condition and in order to provide quality diet to the patients, Government after careful consideration have been pleased to enhance the daily rate of diet of the indoor patients of all Government Health Institutions with immediate effect as enumerated in the table below:

- For General Diet from Rs 110 to Rs 127
- For Pediatrics Diet from Rs 95 to Rs 110
- For High protein Diet from Rs 120 to Rs 138
- For Dry Diet from Rs 95 to Rs 110
- For Liquid Diet from Rs 110 to Rs 127
The Heads of all Medical Institutions shall be responsible to ensure that good quality food is supplied to the in-patients and served in an appropriate and hygienic manner, read the notification.
