Odisha continues to shiver in intense cold: G.Udayagiri coldest with temp at 3.1°C
Cold wave conditions continue to prevail over Odisha. G.Udayagiri has become the coldest place in the state with the minimum temperature dropping to 3.1 degrees.
Bhubaneswar: Cold wave conditions continue to prevail over Odisha. G.Udayagiri has become the coldest place in the state with the minimum temperature dropping to 3.1 degrees. The minimum temperature in 16 places has dropped belpow 10 degrees Celsius in the state.
The areas of Phulbani, Daringbadi, G.Udayagiri, Baliguda, Tumudibandha, and Kotagada are experience severe cold conditions and foggy mornings. Meanwhile, many place have also witnessed snowfall like situations.
The minimum temperature in Phulbani is recorded at 5.5 degrees, 6 degrees in Daringbadi. Mayurbhanj is also shivering in bone-chilling cold wave.
The cold conditions will continue to remain in effect in the state for the next 6-7 days. As per the Meteorological Department predictions, the highest temperature during the day will remain at 29 degrees and the minimum night temperature is at 12 degrees.
The regional Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow warnign for cold wave for two district of Angul and Jharsuguda.
