Bargarh: Chief Minister Mohan Majhi inaugurated 123 projects worth over Rs 1,362 crore in Bargarh’s Dhanu Jatra in Odisha. The projects include 85 worth Rs 980.58 crore laid and 38 worth Rs 382.26 crore inaugurated.

Speaking at the Kansa Maharaj Darbar, Majhi announced four new projects worth Rs 380 crore for Bargarh, including a Rs 132-crore sewage treatment plant on Jira River and a Rs 150-crore Antanadi reservoir. He warned corrupt officials of vigilance action, emphasizing Dhanu Jatra’s cultural significance and India’s “cultural economic model”.

The event highlights Bargarh’s development, with initiatives like Subhadra Yojana aiding 3.41 lakh women and paddy procurement benefiting 2.41 lakh farmers. Majhi’s government aims to industrialize every district, promoting Odia heritage.

Prominent attendees included MPs, MLAs, and district officials. The Dhanu Jatra, showcasing local culture, seeks UNESCO recognition.
