The Odisha Cabinet today gave its approval to four proposals of three departments including the increasing of work hours from 9 to 10 hours

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet has approved four proposals of three departments. The proposals of Works Department, School and Mass Education department and Labour department of Odisha government have received the nod.

An important meeting of the state cabinet was held at Lok Seva Bhavan under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The meeting was attended by the Chief Secretary, Ministers and Chief Minister Mohan Majhi. Approval was given to 4 proposals in the meeting. Secretaries and ministers of other departments were present in the meeting.

Amendment of the Trade Establishments Act 1956 of the Labor Department has been passed. The Factories Amendment Act 1948 has also been passed. It has been decided to increase the daily working hours from 9 hours to 10 hours. Similarly, overtime will be given if you work more than 48 hours in a week. Women employees can work at night if they want with a consent letter. The state government will make security arrangements for women employees.

In addition, approval has been given to the Godavarish Adarsh ​​Primary School Scheme of the Public Education Department.

Further, Rs 226 crore has been sanctioned for the development of the surrounding areas of Ghatgaon Tarini Peeth. The cabinet has approved the preparation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the development of the surrounding areas of 59 acres of land.
